Standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation
Last updated: 28 October 2026 · Applies to Dissero at dissero.net and every Dissero app
Dissero has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Using Dissero to sexualise, endanger or exploit a child is a permanent ban, and we report it to the authorities.
Our commitment
Dissero is a discussion community for people aged 13 and over, run by a small admin team. We publish these standards so that members, parents, guardians and law enforcement know exactly what is not allowed here and what we do about it.
No exception is made for fiction, role play, jokes, usernames, avatars, display names or private messages. The same rules apply to everything written on Dissero.
What is prohibited
The following is never allowed on Dissero:
- •Child sexual abuse material in any form, including photographs, drawings, computer-generated and AI-generated images, and written depictions.
- •Sexualised descriptions of, or sexual comments about, anyone under 18.
- •Grooming: building trust with a child, or attempting to, in order to sexualise the relationship.
- •Sextortion, coercion, or any demand for sexual images or acts from a minor.
- •Arranging, encouraging or asking for contact with a child for a sexual purpose, online or in person.
- •Sharing links, invite codes or instructions that lead to any of the above.
- •Publishing a child's name, school, address or images alongside sexual content, or identifying a victim of abuse.
How we prevent and detect it
- •Dissero is text only. There is no way to upload a photo or a video anywhere in the app, which removes the most common route for image-based abuse.
- •Every post, reply and chat message passes a server-side automated text filter before it is published. A message that trips the filter is refused, not posted and reviewed later.
- •Accounts are checked against a reserved-name and age policy, and any account found to belong to a child below the minimum age is removed.
- •Every report is read by the admin team. Nothing in the moderation queue is auto-dismissed.
How to report child safety concerns
In the app: every post, reply, chat message and member profile carries a report option. Choose it and select the reason that fits, or add the details in your own words. Reports are private and visible only to the admin team.
Without an account: send a note through the Help tab on the Support page, or write to us at the address in the contact section below.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or police first. We work with them, but we cannot dispatch help.
What happens to a report
Child-safety reports are treated as the highest priority in our moderation queue, ahead of every other kind of report, and are acted on within 24 hours.
- •The content is removed and the account is blocked from the app immediately, before any appeal.
- •The account is permanently terminated. Dissero does not offer reinstatement for child-safety violations.
- •The record, including the account, the content and any associated messages, is preserved for the authorities.
- •Apparent child sexual abuse material is reported to the appropriate body — Cybertip.ca in Canada, or NCMEC internationally — and disclosed to law enforcement on request or where required by law.
Law enforcement and our point of contact
Dissero designates its admin team as the point of contact for child safety matters. Law enforcement and child protection agencies may reach us to request preservation of records, to serve a legal request, or to ask about our practices, and we respond as quickly as the law allows.
Child safety contact: dissero.net@hotmail.com
We co-operate fully with law enforcement and child protection agencies, comply with applicable child safety law in the jurisdictions we serve, and review these standards at least once a year.
Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to hold a Dissero account, or older where your local law sets a higher minimum age for digital consent. If we learn that an account belongs to a child below that age, the account is closed and its content removed.
